Product Description:
The PSI64C0.777-W1 is a medium-frequency inverter built by Bosch Rexroth Indramat as part of the PSI Frequency Inverters series. Intended for industrial automation, the unit converts fixed mains power into a controlled medium-frequency output for applications such as induction heating generators and high-speed spindles. Integrated electronics coordinate power conversion, protective monitoring, and communication, allowing the inverter to operate in process lines that require rapid energy modulation without mechanical speed changers.
A water-cooled thermal management system transfers switching heat through a plate heat exchanger, helping keep semiconductor junctions below critical limits during high-duty cycles. The input stage accepts a 400 to 480 VAC three-phase supply and synchronizes with plant power at 50 or 60 Hz, allowing installation on either supported line frequency without transformer tap changes. An auxiliary converter provides a regulated 24 VDC control supply with a maximum service current of 2 A for gate drivers, sensors, and small field I/O devices. Timer control over Ethernet enables synchronized triggering, allowing the inverter to align its carrier operation with external machine events and reduce electromagnetic interference within the connected system.
The housing has an IP20 ingress protection rating, which protects internal components against accidental finger contact and solid foreign objects larger than 12.5 mm when the unit is mounted inside a suitable enclosure. During continuous operation, the power section transfers up to 420 W of heat loss to the water circuit, providing a basis for selecting coolant flow and chiller capacity. The permitted operating temperature range is +10 to +55 °C, while storage and transport are allowed from -25 to +70 °C. With a mass of 25 kg, the inverter requires suitable lifting and mounting provisions, and its climatic class of 3K3 supports operation under the temperature and humidity conditions commonly found in production facilities.
