The PSI63C0.787-W2 is a medium-frequency inverter manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the PSI Frequency Inverters series. It converts high-voltage three-phase mains power into a regulated medium-frequency output that feeds induction heating coils, hardening generators, or other process loads where precise energy delivery is required. In an automation cell, this inverter functions as the power stage that follows a motion or process controller, modulating current to match real-time thermal or metallurgical demands.

The internal power electronics switch at a clock frequency of 1 kHz, which affects the spectral content of the output waveform and the size of the passive filter network. All control logic and I/O are powered by a dedicated 24 V DC supply, and an integrated auxiliary source can deliver 24 V DC at up to 2 A for sensors or relays. The main input accepts 480–690 V AC three-phase power at 50 or 60 Hz, providing a nominal system current of 110 A while allowing brief surges of up to 800 A during startup or load transients.
