The PSI63C0.780-L2 medium-frequency inverter is built by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the PSI Frequency Inverters series. It converts high-voltage factory mains into a regulated medium-frequency output that powers induction heaters, press welders, and similar automated loads. With an integrated power stage and logic section, the unit manages energy transfer between the plant supply and the connected machine. Its Ethernet interface links directly to cell PLCs, allowing parameter changes and diagnostic feedback without additional gateways.
The input section accepts a three-phase supply of 480 to 690 VAC at 50 or 60 Hz, allowing use with common industrial power systems. A TriCore CPU handles pulse-width modulation generation and communication tasks, allowing frequency adjustments to occur in real time. The inverter generates a selectable output of up to 1 kHz, supporting the processing of copper, aluminum, or steel workpieces in heating applications. The IP20 enclosure provides protection against accidental finger contact when the inverter is installed inside a cabinet.
