Product Description:
The PSI63C0.779-L1 is a medium-frequency inverter built by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the PSI Frequency Inverters series. The unit converts three-phase plant power into controlled medium-frequency output that feeds induction coils, dielectric heaters, or other process loads requiring adjustable energy. By housing both the power stage and an auxiliary 24 V logic supply in one enclosure, the inverter simplifies panel wiring and supports heating, hardening, or bonding stations in automated production lines.
Incoming electrical service can range from 400–480 VAC, and the converter accepts a line frequency of either 50 or 60 Hz, allowing it to operate in different industrial power systems without an external transformer. A built-in supply delivers 24 VDC control power at up to 2 A, eliminating the need for a separate DIN-rail supply for sensors and I/O devices. The housing carries an IP20 protection rating, which guards live parts against finger contact but requires the device to be installed inside a control cabinet. Heat is removed by forced air, so the enclosure must provide ventilation openings with adequate clearance for cooling airflow. An Ethernet timer interface provides synchronized triggering, allowing the power stage to follow external cycle commands with millisecond resolution.
Maximum cooling losses are rated at 360 W, a value that supports cabinet airflow calculations and helps prevent excessive internal temperatures. Continuous operation is permitted at ambient temperatures from +10 to +55 °C, provided the installation maintains the required airflow around the inverter. The design meets climatic class 3K3 according to EN 60721-3-3, allowing operation in stationary indoor locations where temperature, humidity, and dust remain within the applicable limits. During storage or transportation, the electronics can tolerate temperatures from -25 to +70 °C without being energized. A mass of 20 kg must be supported securely by the control cabinet backplate and appropriate mounting hardware.
