In an automation cell, this unit converts high-voltage three-phase mains power into a regulated medium-frequency output that feeds induction heaters, shrink-fit stations, or other power supplies requiring variable kilohertz ranges. By integrating the power stage, control electronics, and a 24 V auxiliary supply in one enclosure, the product simplifies panel wiring and provides a single point of adjustment for process energy. This arrangement also reduces the number of separate power and control components required within the electrical cabinet.
The power stage accepts a three-phase input of 480–690 VAC, so it can connect directly to high-voltage plant feeders without an autotransformer. Internal converters synchronize with a line frequency of either 50 or 60 Hz, allowing operation with different grid standards. For control circuits, the inverter carries an integrated supply that delivers up to 24 VDC at 2 A, eliminating the need for an external DIN-rail power module. Thermal management relies on an air-cooled heat sink, and the inverter dissipates up to 360 W of heat while operating at rated load. Cabinet ventilation must remove this heat to keep the semiconductor junctions within their operating limits. The built-in timer communicates through an Ethernet interface, providing remote access to operating hours and service counters.
The housing carries an IP 20 protection level, which prevents accidental finger contact with live parts but requires installation inside a closed panel. Operation is permitted under the 3K3 climatic class in accordance with EN 60721-3-3, covering workshops with moderate dust and noncondensing humidity. The inverter operates within a temperature range of +10 to +55 °C. Storage or transport is permitted from −25 °C to +70 °C, provided condensation is avoided. The steel chassis weighs 21 kg, making it manageable during panel assembly while providing sufficient rigidity for cabinet installation. Its sturdy enclosure also helps limit the effects of vibration produced by nearby cabinet-mounted fans.
