The PSI63C0.777-L1 is a medium-frequency inverter built by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the PSI Frequency Inverters series. In industrial automation, it supplies controlled medium-frequency power to induction heaters, welding transformers, and other loads that require accurate current regulation. The converter is air-cooled and includes integrated temperature monitoring, allowing its thermal status to be observed through the control interface. Its design places the power electronics and control logic in a single enclosure, simplifying cabinet layout and reducing interconnection length.

The power stage accepts a mains voltage range of 400–480 VAC, allowing direct connection to common factory feeders. An internal switching bridge operates at 1 kHz, enabling the inverter to shape a sinusoidal output with low harmonic content. The maximum output current reaches 800 A, while continuous operation is based on a nominal system current of 110 A; these values support proper conductor sizing and protection coordination. DC-link overvoltage is limited by a MOV network that absorbs energy spikes before they can place excessive stress on the semiconductors. Process synchronization is managed through an Ethernet timer. The downstream transformer can deliver up to 36 kA on the secondary side for high-intensity heating cycles.

Power loss within the cabinet begins at 69 W during standby and rises to 170 W when the inverter operates at maximum power. During prolonged operation, the cooling path can dissipate up to 360 W, supporting service at ambient temperatures as high as 55 °C. The housing has an IP20 protection rating and mounts in a recessed position within a switchgear frame, leaving only the operator panel protruding. Power terminals accommodate cables with cross-sectional areas of up to 35 mm². Integrated sensors initiate a controlled shutdown when internal temperature thresholds are exceeded, protecting the power semiconductors from thermal damage.
