The PSI63C0.633-L2 medium-frequency inverter is produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the PSI Frequency Inverters series. Designed for recessed mounting inside control enclosures, the unit converts three-phase utility power into regulated medium-frequency energy for automated induction heating, welding, and similar processes. By modulating the current delivered to the work coil, it supports precise thermal profiles and stable production cycles in industrial automation cells.

The power stage accepts a three-phase mains input of 480–690 VAC at 50 or 60 Hz, while the logic circuits use 24 V DC supplied externally or by the integrated 24 V DC, 2 A auxiliary source. IGBT switching occurs at 1 kHz, balancing transformer efficiency with manageable electromagnetic noise. During transient demand, the inverter can deliver up to 800 A. Cabinet losses under rated conditions are 100 W, and total cooling losses can reach 360 W, so adequate airflow must be maintained. The housing provides a protection level of IP20, and MOV devices on the input path absorb overvoltage events. The nominal system current is 110 A, and the downstream medium-frequency transformer may experience secondary peaks of 36 kA when driving low-impedance loads. The inverter weighs 21 kg, allowing installation in a suitable control cabinet without unusually heavy supports. The permitted operating temperature range is +10 to +55 °C, while the storage and transportation range is -25 to +70 °C. Recessed mounting keeps the chassis behind the panel surface and maintains unobstructed airflow through the heat sink.
