The PSI6300.737-W1 inverter is manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat as part of the PSI Frequency Inverters series. Classified as a medium-frequency inverter, it converts 400 to 480 V three-phase power into controlled current for industrial automation tasks that require stable high-current outputs. Its power semiconductors are cooled by a closed-loop water circuit, keeping the unit compact despite its high current density. The unit integrates switching electronics, a logic power supply, and network communication inside an IP20 enclosure, allowing installation beside drives and PLC hardware without additional subassemblies.

Internally, the inverter modulates its output with a switching clock of 1 kHz, balancing spectral distribution and transformer size. On the mains side, it draws up to 110 A at 50 or 60 Hz and requires supply conductors with a minimum cross-sectional area of 35 mm², while the terminal block accepts cables up to 50 mm². The integrated supply powers the control electronics and external sensors by delivering 2 A at 24 VDC, and the same rail feeds the logic bus. Command, status, and timing data are exchanged over Ethernet through the built-in I/O and timer interface, removing the need for separate communication modules.

The heat sink dissipates up to 420 W into a water circuit that must deliver at least 4 L/min through an M16 × 1.5 connection. The circuit produces a pressure drop of only 0.1 bar when the inlet temperature does not exceed 30 °C. Under these conditions, the device can handle primary currents up to 800 A and, when paired with a PSG 3100 transformer, can produce secondary pulses reaching 36 kA. Operation is permitted from 10 to 55 °C under climatic category 3K3, and transportation at temperatures as low as -25 °C is acceptable. The assembly weighs 25 kg, so the cabinet mounting plate must support this static load.
