Product Description:
The PSI6300.626-L2 is a medium-frequency inverter manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the PSI Frequency Inverters series. It converts a high-voltage, three-phase mains supply into a controlled medium-frequency output for industrial resistance-welding equipment. The inverter supplies regulated power to a compatible welding transformer, allowing the connected control system to manage current delivery during each welding cycle. Its electronic power stage supports repeatable energy dosing without requiring mechanical regulation of the electrical output. The unit is intended for installation as part of an automated welding system in which timing, current, and process monitoring are coordinated by a higher-level controller.
The inverter accepts a three-phase input ranging from 480 to 690 VAC, allowing connection to common high-voltage industrial power networks. It is compatible with mains frequencies of 50 or 60 Hz, so it can operate on either of the standard supply frequencies used in industrial facilities. The enclosure has an ingress protection rating of IP20, which protects against accidental contact with hazardous internal components but does not provide protection against water. The unit must therefore be installed inside a suitable electrical cabinet that limits exposure to moisture, conductive debris, and unauthorized access. An air-cooled design removes heat from the power stage, and the cabinet layout must provide sufficient airflow around the inverter. Cooling losses can reach 360 W during continuous full-load operation, and this heat output must be considered when selecting the cabinet ventilation capacity.
A built-in power module provides 24 VDC with a maximum output current of 2 A for compatible sensors, contactor coils, and external logic circuits. This auxiliary supply can reduce the need for a separate low-voltage power source when the connected devices remain within its output limit. The permitted ambient operating temperature ranges from +10 to +55 °C, supporting use in temperature-controlled industrial cabinets. During storage or transportation, the inverter can be exposed to temperatures from -25 to +70 °C, subject to proper protection from condensation and physical damage. A DeviceNet interface supports coordinated start and stop commands while returning operating status and diagnostic information to the connected PLC. The inverter weighs 21 kg, so its mounting surface and fasteners must be able to support the unit securely during normal machine operation and vibration.
