The PSI6300.336-W2 is a medium-frequency inverter manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat as part of the PSI Frequency Inverters series. The unit converts a high-voltage three-phase supply into controlled medium-frequency power for inductive loads used in industrial automation equipment. Integrated water cooling and compact cabinet dimensions allow the inverter to fit into dense machine layouts while keeping semiconductor temperatures within the permitted range.

The inverter operates within a mains voltage range of 480–690 VAC and draws a rated mains current of 110 A through copper bars sized for a 35 mm² connection cross-section. The control electronics run from a dedicated 24 V DC supply that remains active during line disturbances. The power stage switches the supply at a frequency of 1 kHz, producing the required medium-frequency waveform while limiting electromagnetic interference. At maximum output, the inverter releases only 140 W of heat into the cabinet, which simplifies climate-control sizing. Continuous operation is permitted at ambient temperatures up to 55 °C without derating when the cooling requirements are met.

The water-cooled design routes a primary current of 800 A through busbars, while the internal transformer delivers up to 36 kA on the secondary side for the work coil. Adequate heat removal requires a coolant flow rate of 4 L/min and an inlet temperature no higher than 30 °C. The coolant fittings have M16×1.5 threads for direct hose connection. The electronics have an enclosure protection rating of IP20, so the inverter must be installed inside a closed electrical cabinet. The unit measures 463 mm high, 239 mm wide, and 280 mm deep, allowing its required cabinet space to be determined before installation. An INTERBUS timer interface connects the inverter to supervisory controls for synchronized energy delivery.
