Product Description:
The PSI6300.336-L2 is a medium-frequency inverter from the Bosch Rexroth Indramat PSI Frequency Inverters series. The unit converts high-voltage, three-phase utility power into a regulated medium-frequency output that drives induction generators, heat sources, or other process loads in automated equipment. By providing programmable frequency and power, it replaces mechanical change-gear solutions and allows faster setup of production lines. The device is intended for cabinet installation in machine tools and material-handling systems, where it can support controlled industrial processes and coordinated machine operation.
The inverter accepts incoming three-phase power from 480–690 VAC at either 50 or 60 Hz, enabling operation on different industrial power networks without transformer adaptation. Its integrated power supply delivers a stabilized 24 VDC control rail that can supply up to 2 A to external relays and logic modules. The electronics are housed in an enclosure rated at IP20, so the drive must be installed in a closed control cabinet that limits contact with energized parts and exposure to contaminants. Switching components produce cooling losses of up to 360 W, making adequate forced airflow through the cabinet necessary for heat removal. The unit complies with climatic category 3K3 under EN 60721-3-3 and is suitable for production areas with moderate humidity and low contamination levels.
The inverter uses an air-cooled design, so the control enclosure must provide an unobstructed exhaust path to keep internal components within the permitted temperature range. The operating temperature range is 10–55 °C, which must be considered when selecting the cabinet ventilation system and installation location. Field wiring is simplified by the built-in timer interface, which uses INTERBUS communication to synchronize frequency adjustments with upstream PLC cycles. With a mass of 21 kg, the unit requires secure mounting that can support its weight and withstand normal machine vibration. Storage temperatures as low as -25 °C and transport temperatures as high as 70 °C are permitted without affecting calibration.
