The PSI6300.330-L1 medium-frequency inverter is manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the PSI Frequency Inverters series. This unit converts a three-phase utility supply into a regulated medium-frequency output that automation systems use for controlled power delivery to inductive loads and process equipment. Its cabinet-mounted design and air-cooled operation allow it to fit into electrical enclosures that also house related control and power components.

It accepts a mains input of 400-480 VAC and draws a rated line current of 110 A when operating at nominal load. Internally, the bridge and chopper stages switch at an inverter frequency of 1 kHz, producing a medium-frequency output whose peak demand can rise to 800 A. The controller stores up to 256 Programs, so multiple operating setups can be recalled through the INTERBUS timer interface for different process steps. A separate 24 V DC control supply powers the logic and fans, while standby cabinet heat dissipation starts at 69 W and increases as switching losses rise. Cooling is provided by forced air inside an IP20 enclosure, and the cooling air temperature must remain below 45 °C during operation. The housing measures 463 mm in height and 239 mm in width, which supports panel installation in standard industrial cabinets.

For field wiring, power terminals accept conductors up to 50 mm², and the secondary circuit can withstand momentary fault currents up to 36 kA. Under continuous full-power operation, the inverter releases about 360 W of thermal energy, so enclosure ventilation must remove heat steadily during extended duty cycles. Reliable service is maintained up to a surrounding temperature of 55 °C, while operation above that point requires derating. Installation guidance also notes a 35 mm² wire size for control circuits and an air-cooled layout intended for enclosed panel installations.
