The PSI6100.327-L1 is a medium-frequency inverter manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the PSI Frequency Inverters series. It converts three-phase plant power into a controlled medium-frequency output for inductive loads such as heating coils, hardening stations, and resonant power supplies in automated equipment. A built-in control supply, temperature monitoring, and INTERBUS timing support enable the inverter to provide process power while exchanging operating data with a higher-level controller. The unit weighs approximately 20 kg and is intended for installation inside an appropriately protected electrical cabinet.

The input accepts 400–480 VAC at 50 or 60 Hz from a balanced three-phase power source. The nominal system current is 110 A, while the power stage can deliver up to 400 A rms to the output bus. A thyristor block provides a short-duration surge capability of 20 kA when used with the PSG 3100. The integrated power supply delivers 24 VDC at up to 2 A for external sensors, contactors, or fieldbus nodes. Metal-oxide varistors provide overvoltage protection for the DC link, and a 1 kHz clock controls the switching cycle. The wire terminals accommodate conductors with cross-sectional areas of up to 35 mm². An air-cooled heat sink manages operating temperatures from +10 °C to +55 °C, while the permitted storage and transport range extends from -25 °C to +70 °C.

Internal thermal dissipation starts at 69 W under light load and rises to 170 W at maximum power, so both operating conditions should be considered when planning cabinet ventilation. Total cooling losses can reach 360 W during continuous high-duty operation, and the monitored air channel shuts down the inverter if airflow becomes obstructed. The enclosure provides IP20 protection against finger contact with internal components but does not protect the unit against liquids. Adequate clearance around the heat sink is required to maintain unrestricted airflow and prevent excessive internal temperatures. The inverter is suitable for climate class 3K3 operating conditions under EN 60721-3-3 when installed within the stated temperature limits.
