The PSI 6100.330L2 is an inverter unit built by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the PSI Frequency Inverters series. It converts high-voltage three-phase line power into a regulated medium-frequency output that drives induction coils, welding transformers, or similar process loads in automated lines. By supplying controlled current at kilohertz rates, the device lets production equipment apply precise thermal or electromagnetic energy without mechanical switching.
This housing measures 239 mm across the front and 280 mm deep, with cabinet dissipation of 200 W under maximum current. An air-cooled design channels airflow over heat sinks, and the enclosure carries an IP20 rating that helps protect against contact with fingers and similar solid objects. The internal control loop is synchronized by a clock frequency of 1 kHz, while power enters on feeders rated for at least 35 mm². The inverter accepts a three-phase supply between 480 – 690 VAC and draws a nominal line current of 110 A. For rapid power surges during pulse cycles, its DC link can momentarily absorb a primary current of up to 400 A. A separate logic supply supports monitoring, a 2 A auxiliary output is provided for external relays or sensors, and under full excitation the cooling hardware must remove no more than 360 W from the installation.
The control layer communicates through INTERBUS, so drive parameters and fault bits can integrate with plant PLCs. Gate electronics are supplied from a 24 VDC rail that remains live when the power stage is isolated, allowing safe diagnostics. When the resonant circuit demands a high current spike, the secondary side can deliver up to 20 kA without exceeding semiconductor limits. A vertical profile of 463 mm lets the unit fit into standard 600-mm enclosures while leaving headroom for service bends and isolators.
