For many years, Bosch Rexroth Indramat has been leading in the production of PPC-R units that can be used as PLC or NC controllers based on the loaded software and applications they are intended to undertake. Prior to the installation of these PPC-R units, installation of the module carriers ought to be done first. The module carriers are fitted with the PPC-R units as well as RECO02 modules. The module carriers to be installed are those of RMB02.2-04 type. At most four module carriers of the RMB02.2-04 type can be installed on every side of the DIN rail.

For the PPC-R unit to be capable of controlling the RECO bus, it is supposed to be in slot 0. Slot addressing needs configuration of the DIP switches found on the RMB02.2-04 module carriers’ bus boards. The switches are supposed to be set in correspondence to module carrier numbers. The setting of every module number is done only once. In the instances where the PCR-R is to be used without the RECO bus, the RMB02.2-02 dual carrier can be used.
