Prior to the installation of these PPC-R units, installation of the module carriers ought to be done first. The module carriers are fitted with the PPC-R units as well as RECO02 modules. The module carriers to be installed are those of RMB02.2-04 type. At most four module carriers of the RMB02.2-04 type can be installed on every side of the DIN rail.
For the PPC-R unit to be capable of controlling the RECO bus, it is supposed to be in slot 0. Slot addressing needs configuration of the DIP switches found on the RMB02.2-04 module carriers’ bus boards. The switches are supposed to be set in correspondence to module carrier numbers. The setting of every module number is done only once. In the instances where the PCR-R is to be used without the RECO bus, the RMB02.2-02 dual carrier can be used. When modules or connectors are being inserted or removed from the module carriers, the power must be switched off. The screws for fixing module carriers should be tightened properly so as to ensure no lateral movements which may result to connectors’ disconnection.
The PPC-R02.2N-N-T2-B2-NN-FW controller grounding as well as the screening of its electrical components need at least 6 mm² of grounding cable to be laid between the controller’s grounding stud and the machine’s central grounding point. Other devices and power supply are supposed to be grounded in a star-shaped configuration. The PPC-R02.2N-N-T2-B2-NN-FW controller is protected as per IP 20 protection category and has a weight of 1.3 Kg. Additionally, the PPC-R02.2N-N-T2-B2-NN-FW controller has a housing version for RECO unit.
