Bosch Rexroth is known for their top quality products like this PPC-R02.2N-N-T2-NN-NN-FW motion control. The unit is programmable and can be used for logic control and multi-axis motion control systems. This control unit has the capability to provide control to a maximum of 40 of Bosch Rexroth’s intelligent digital drives. The unit is commissioned with the use of the VisualMotion Toolkit which is the software that is used to program and commission the unit so they can carry out their motion control units.

The motion control device along with any and all of the drive controllers it works with must be parameterized and programmed prior to starting up. This ensures that the motor will have the ability to execute its functions as designed and specified to do. The VisualMotion Toolkit is what is used to provide the unit with the programming is used with many motion control solutions and can be used with both multiple axis drives and single axis drives.

The units can be controlled over an EtherNet/IP open network. A standard EtherNet IEEE 802.3, with real-time I/O information, can provide all the control and information protocol the same type of protocol used by ControlNet and DeviceNet.

With a Local Reco 02 form factor these I/O modules can be installed in the RMB rack on whether the same Rack or on another Rack which is adjacent but houses the control. Adjacent racks will communicate by way of the local bus connection which is created between the two racks. There can be a maximum of 4 RMB racks.

The PPC-R02.2N-N-T2-NN-NN-FW will ignore any of the Reco I/O modules’ errors. They can be monitored by the user. Backward compatibility comes by default so it is easy to work with older GPP firmware versions with this device.
