The NFD04.1-440-016 mains filter is produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat as part of the NFD Mains Filters series. Designed for three-phase drive assemblies, the unit suppresses high-frequency noise on the supply lines so connected servo drives meet EMC limits and operate without crosstalk. By inserting the filter between the plant’s power distribution and the inverter group, unwanted line disturbances are absorbed by the internal inductors and capacitors inside its metal enclosure. This helps reduce conducted interference on shared power lines that also feed nearby automation equipment.

Its electrical capacity includes a continuous rating of 16 A, making the device suitable for moderate-power axis groups fed from 400 VAC networks. Line and load conductors land on spring terminals that accept wire up to 4 mm², allowing low-loss connections while keeping cabinet wiring compact. Protective-earth continuity is secured through a threaded stud sized M6, giving a solid bonding point for leakage current diversion. During installation, the punched baseplate offers a slot width of 5.5 mm so standard panel screws can slide into place without added drilling. A horizontal mount pitch of 70 mm separates the fixing centers along the X-axis and leaves practical space between adjacent components.

A second fixing axis uses a Y-direction spacing of 100 mm, which aligns with the vertical rail pattern common in Indramat power sections. Once installed, the filter spans 163 mm across the front of the cabinet and rises 113 mm, while the 81 mm enclosure depth helps it clear shallow door spaces. At only 2.2 kg, the component places little load on light-gauge backplates, so it can be mounted higher in the enclosure when shorter cable routing is preferred. Shorter routing between the filter and the connected drives can also help limit coupling into nearby control wiring.
