The NFD03.1-480-075 mains filter is produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat as part of the NFD Mains Filters series. Installed on the supply side of drive controllers, this passive component blocks high-frequency interference generated by switching devices and shields upstream distribution equipment from conducted emissions. Its metal housing is suited for panel mounting inside electrical enclosures, while internal inductive and capacitive elements create the insertion loss required for compliance with industrial electromagnetic compatibility limits. In automation lines, it helps preserve signal integrity and supports stable motor control.

The housing has a width of 90 mm, a depth of 145 mm, and a height of 240 mm, so it fits a narrow vertical space on a DIN rail or back plate. With a mass of 3.5 kg, the filter remains compact enough for straightforward installation, and the center of gravity stays close to the mounting surface to reduce vibration. Line and load terminals accept either rigid bars or cables, and tightening them to 4.5 Nm secures the copper against thermal cycling. A separate M6 ground stud, torqued to 4 Nm, bonds the case to the protective earth grid, while rigid conductors up to 35 mm² can be clamped directly for low-impedance connections.

The unit carries a nominal current of 75 A and is built for 3 AC phases, allowing it to serve typical 480 V motor feeders without saturating its core components. At that current, the internal resistive elements generate only 30.4 W of heat, which can usually be removed by natural convection inside the cabinet. When flexible cabling is preferred, lugs rated for 25 mm² conductors fit the same terminal block and maintain the cross-section needed for low voltage drop. This connection range helps keep the electrical path efficient while limiting extra heat inside the enclosure.
