NFD03.1-480-055 is a mains filter. It protects Bosch HCS converters from interference and capacitor leakage current. Input of the filter connects directly to the AC mains, and its output connects to the choke. The filter has three line terminals, and Bosch recommends AWG 4 power cable size. For flexible power cables, the recommended size is 16 mm2, and for rigid cables, the recommended size is 25 mm2. The nominal current rating of the filter is 55 Amps>. Its maximum input voltage rating is 480 Volts AC. The filter is designed for 3-phase input. Power dissipation of the operating NFD03.1-480-055 line filter is 25.9 Watts. The < rated filter mounts vertically and weights 2 kilograms. For ingress protection, the filter, along with other components must be installed inside a suitable cabinet.

When using filter with mains grounded via the outer conductor, operators must use an isolation transformer between the mains and the NFD series mains filter. The NFD03.1 series protects HCS series three-phase controllers. Motor cables lengths of up to 75 meters are supported. The filter supports 0 to 60 Hertz operating frequency at 45 degrees Celsius. The optimal temperature range for air surrounding the working unit is -25 to 85 degrees Celsius. Overload capacity of the NFD03.1-480-055 is 4 times nominal current for ten seconds or 1.5 times nominal current for one minute per hour. The effective attenuation range for the filer is 0.15 to 30 MHz. During saturation, the filter attenuation reduces by 6 dB at 2.5/3 times the nominal current. The test voltage is 2700 Volts DC for 2 seconds at 25 degrees Celsius. Protection rating of the filter housing is IP20.
