The NFD02.1-480-030 is a three-phase mains filter manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the NFD Mains Filters series. Installed between the facility supply and drive controllers, the unit attenuates conducted interference and returns a cleaner power waveform to the plant distribution network. By providing common-mode and differential-mode impedance, the filter protects servo amplifiers from line disturbances and reduces emissions so the automation system complies with electromagnetic compatibility limits required on production floors.

The filter has a rated line current of 30 A, allowing the device to service multiple inverters sharing one supply branch without saturation. The input terminals are designed for up to AC 480 V +10%, so voltage fluctuations on a nominal 480 V bus do not force derating. Compatibility with public utility grids is supported by a frequency range of 50-60 Hz. Dielectric integrity is demonstrated by a test voltage of 2125 VDC applied between any line and the housing for two seconds, which confirms adequate spacing and insulation for industrial use.

During normal load, the internal iron-core chokes dissipate 14 W, a value that remains stable so long as ambient temperature stays within -25 to +85 °C. Short-term overloads up to 1.5 × In, 1 min/h can be tolerated, which absorbs inrush currents from large drive groups without exceeding coil temperature rise. The open-frame design has a protection level of IP10, making it suitable for mounting inside a closed cabinet that provides additional shielding. With a mass of 1.8 kg, the assembly can be fastened directly to DIN rails or panel plates, and its 335 mm length, 150 mm front height, and 60 mm front width leave sufficient clearance for adjacent wiring, including the 10 mm² supply terminals and the 5.37 mm² brush shunt connection.
