The NFD01.1-440-050 mains filter is produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the NFD Mains Filters series. As a line-side component, it attenuates conducted interference between the supply network and Rexroth drive controllers in factory automation panels. By inserting impedance on each phase and routing leakage current to the protective earth, the device lowers electromagnetic emissions and improves the immunity of connected inverters and servo drives to network disturbances.

Designed for three-line installations, the filter handles a three-phase supply with a phase-to-phase reference point. Its nominal line voltage is 440 V, allowing direct installation on common industrial feeders without step-down transformers. The copper elements are sized for a continuous load of 50 A, so the series impedance remains linear under standard motor currents. A protective earth conductor cross-section of 10 mm² is required to return displacement current safely to ground and to meet touch-current limits for industrial equipment. With an enclosure rating of IP10, the unit is ventilated and intended for mounting inside a control cabinet where finger contact is prevented, while free airflow removes internally generated heat. The voltage reference for all ratings is phase-to-phase, which simplifies coordination with drive nameplate data.

Short transients above nominal are tolerated because the filter can carry 1.5 × IN for up to 1 minute per hour, enabling clearance of starting surges from large inverters without saturation of the cores. Dielectric strength is rated for 2125 VDC across the differential-mode path and 2800 VDC from line to protective earth. These margins limit leakage through the capacitive network and protect downstream equipment when lightning arresters or switching events raise network potential. Insertion loss is concentrated in the kilohertz range, which avoids unacceptable voltage drop at power frequency while still reducing conducted noise to support EMC compliance in drive systems.
