Product Description

The Rexroth MTC-R02.1-E1-NN-NN-NN-FW is a CNC module. As per the product type code, the product group is MTC, the enclosure of the module is designed for RECO unit, the series is 2 and the version is 1. The module does not have any export restrictions which means that there is no restriction on the interpolation between axes. The MTC-R02.1-E1-NN-NN-NN-FW has an integrated axis processor with co-processor which can control a maximum of 8 drives. The communication between the axis processor and the drives takes place via the SERCOS interface. This SERCOS interfaces uses a fiber optic cable for the module to drive communication. The transmitter and receiver interfaces for the SERCOS are located on the front panel of the MTC-R02.1-E1-NN-NN-NN-FW module. The transmitter and receiver connectors should be closed with protective caps when the fiber cables are not connected.

Plastic fiber cables can be used for a maximum distance of up to 40 meters. Glass fiber cables can be used for a maximum distance of up to 500 meters. Maximum cable lengths for the respective fiber types should not be exceeded ruing system installation. Plastic fiber cables with 2.2 millimeter diameter are available for use inside switchgear cabinets. Plastic fiber cables with 6 millimeter diameter are available for applications inside and outside switchgear cabinets. Glass fiber cables with 3 millimeter diameter and reinforced sheath are available for long transmission distances. Personnel should not look directly into the light beam at the transmitter or the end of the fiber cable as doing so can lead to eye injuries and blindness. The fiber cables should not be allowed to kink. Firmware for the MTC-R02.1-E1-NN-NN-NN-FW needs to be ordered separately. This unit can be shipped globally with a one-year warranty period from Wake Industrial.
