Product Description:

With a high speed of 1000 rpm along with a maximum rotational torque of 140 Nm, the MST161C-0140-FT-N0CN-NNNN from Rexroth's IndraDyn T series of motors is designed to be used as rotational torque motors for heavy industrial equipment that require rotating motion, especially when it comes to CNC, Drilling, and Lathe machines. This motor can also be used in rotary drums, for example, in filtration units that require high torque and slow rotation for their process to produce good results.

This motor, even though it does not feature a feedback control mechanism, can be paired up with an external encoder or a control system to help control the positioning of the shaft as well as the speed of the output rotation using a tacho feedback module. This servo motor comes with a copper coil winding, a winding resistance of 3.7 ohms, along with a winding inductance of 15.1 mH, that allows the coil to deliver power to the motor efficiently. Speaking of efficiency, this torque motor comes with a torque constant of 5.5 Nm per ampere of current, allowing it to output high torque with less consumption of current.

This motor comes with a low noise design with a noise rating of just 70 dB, owing to the liquid cooling design that ensures silent and efficient cooling of the motor core. The liquid cooling in this torque motor is compatible with various types of coolants, ranging from water to nitrogen-based coolant; however, it is always recommended to refer to the manual or the manufacturer's website to ensure the coolant is compatible with the motor's construction, to prevent it from affecting the build material. The motor is made using an all-aluminum material.
