The MSS381F-0018-FA-N0CN-S025 is a stator supplied by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the MSS Synchronous IndraDyn H Motors series. As a kit-style spindle motor component, it is intended for integration into machine tools and other automation assemblies that require high torque at very low speed. The stator pairs with a separate rotor and feedback system to generate controlled synchronous motion when connected to a compatible IndraDrive inverter. Its open design allows the surrounding machine structure to support the completed motor assembly and accommodate the required mechanical interfaces.
A factory-terminated 1.5 m power cable with flying leads exits the housing so the conductors can be connected directly to the appropriate drive terminals. The conductors leave the unit through an axially routed cable outlet, keeping the wiring aligned with the shaft axis for compact mounting. Heat is removed by a stator cooling jacket that circulates process fluid around the active motor section. This dedicated channel provides liquid cooling, helping the copper windings remain within their permissible thermal range during continuous operation. The open stator has an IP00 protection rating, so the host machine enclosure must protect it from contact, debris, and moisture. Under nominal excitation, the rotating magnetic field reaches a synchronous speed of 180 rpm, supporting spindle applications that require substantial torque at low rotational speed.
The winding insulation uses thermal class F materials, which tolerate temperatures up to 155 °C before insulation life is adversely affected. The permitted ambient operating range is 0 to +40 °C, and the connected coolant circuit must remove the heat generated during operation. Position feedback must be supplied externally because the stator is delivered without a motor encoder. An axial port in the frame accommodates the coolant hoses and keeps the cooling connections oriented in the same direction as the cable outlet. Frame length code F indicates an extended active stack that supports greater torque capacity within the motor frame. Winding variant 0018 establishes the electrical resistance and inductance values required by compatible IndraDrive controllers.
