The MSS312D-0028-FA-N0CN-NNNN stator is manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the MSS Synchronous IndraDyn H Motors series. Delivered as an open, frameless assembly, it functions as the fixed electromagnetic element of a kit spindle motor. This format allows the stator to be embedded directly into machining centers, grinding heads, or turning stations that require high torque at low speeds. The surrounding spindle structure can be adapted to available space, cooling arrangements, and the mechanical requirements of the machine.

The stator reaches a rated speed of 280 rpm, which is suited to large-diameter spindles that generate high cutting torque at moderate rotational velocity. Power is supplied through a 1.5 m power cable with flying leads, simplifying routing inside the spindle housing. Thermal energy is removed by liquid cooling that circulates through the integrated jacket and keeps winding temperatures within the Class F insulation limit. Because the unit has an IP00 protection rating, the surrounding machine enclosure must provide ingress protection and support active coolant flow. The stator does not include a motor encoder, allowing feedback hardware to be selected according to the spindle geometry and required positioning accuracy.

Coolant enters and exits through threaded ports sized G 1/2 and M30 × 1.5, both positioned axially to align with manifolds at the rear of typical spindle cartridges. The frame has a size of 312 and a length code of D, providing sufficient iron volume for the 0028 winding without increasing the spindle diameter. Operation is permitted in ambient temperatures from 0 to +40 °C, provided that coolant flow and temperature remain within the required operating range. The axial cable outlet keeps conductors within the machine envelope and reduces interference with surrounding spindle components. Uniform coolant distribution around the stator slots helps control radial expansion during prolonged high-load operation.
