The MSS312B-0035-FR-N0CN-NNNN is a stator supplied by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the MSS Synchronous IndraDyn H Motors series. As a kit component, it forms the stationary section of a spindle drive and creates the electromagnetic field required to rotate a matching rotor in high-precision machine tools and other automated equipment. Classified as a stator for synchronous kit spindle motors, it allows the winding package to be positioned directly in the machine housing, saving space while maintaining the torque density expected from the IndraDyn H platform.
The rated speed is 350 rpm, so the magnetic design supports the slow, high-torque operation typical of direct-drive spindles. Heat produced during continuous operation is extracted through a stator cooling jacket that uses liquid cooling. Coolant enters through a radial port with a G 1/4 thread, simplifying hose connections in confined installation spaces. The winding package uses Class F insulation, allowing winding temperatures up to 155 °C before the thermal limit is reached. The cable-conducted axial connection routes the power leads parallel to the shaft line, reducing bending stress when the stator is recessed in a bore. An encoder is not included, allowing the machine builder to select an external feedback device that is compatible with the spindle controller.
The power interface includes a 1.5 m power cable with flying leads, providing sufficient length for direct routing to the drive without intermediate terminals. The motor has a frame size of 312 and a frame length code of B, so the active stack fits large-diameter spindles and can be installed in compatible liquid-cooled housings. The stator has an open-construction protection rating of IP00, so the surrounding machine enclosure must protect it from contact and contaminants. Operation is permitted within an ambient temperature range of 0 °C to +40 °C, making enclosure airflow and coolant monitoring important during use. The design is standard, and winding variant 0035 provides the resistance and inductance values required by the corresponding drive controller.
