Product Description:
The MSS182D-0260-FA-N0CN-M501 is a stator supplied by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the MSS Synchronous IndraDyn H Motors series. It serves as the stationary winding set for synchronous kit spindle drives used in CNC machining centers. By generating the electromagnetic field while relying on the machine frame to support the rotor, the stator allows machine builders to create compact, high-speed, liquid-cooled spindles. It is supplied without a motor encoder, allowing the machine builder to select a feedback device that meets the positioning and speed-control requirements of the application.
An attached 1.5 m power cable with flying leads eliminates plug interfaces and provides a direct current path to the inverter. The active laminated core sits within a stator cooling jacket, and continuous liquid cooling removes heat generated during operation at high switching frequencies. The magnetic circuit is optimized for a synchronous speed of 2600 rpm, matching the 0260 winding used for medium-speed metal-cutting applications. Because the stator has an IP00 protection rating, the surrounding spindle housing must protect it from dust, oil, metal chips, and accidental contact. The housing must also direct coolant through the jacket to maintain stable temperatures during rapid load changes and extended machining cycles.
Power conductors leave the stator through an axial cable exit, allowing electrical and hydraulic lines to run in the same direction along the spindle axis. Both fluid ports are positioned on the axial face to simplify access when the stator is installed inside the machine spindle. Coolant enters the jacket through a G 1/8 threaded port and leaves through an opposing M16 × 1 connection, allowing separate supply and return hoses to be attached without additional adapters. The winding uses Class F insulation, which supports winding temperatures up to 155 °C while the ambient temperature remains between 0 and +40 °C. The size 182 frame and D-length configuration leave room within the spindle assembly for external encoders, bearings, and tool-clamping mechanisms. This arrangement also keeps the cooling and power connections accessible from the axial side during machine assembly.
