The MSS162B-0200-FR-N0CN-NNNN stator belongs to the MSS Synchronous IndraDyn H Motors series from Bosch Rexroth Indramat. As an open kit motor section, it is supplied without a frame so machine builders can embed the active parts directly into a rotating assembly and eliminate redundant housings. In automated equipment, this design allows motion axes to achieve high torque density while keeping the overall envelope size minimal.
The magnetic circuit exerts an axial attractive force of 310 N on the paired rotor and a radial attractive force of 960 N. Mounting structures must withstand these steady loads to preserve air-gap alignment during operation. Because the unit has an open kit motor design, the laminations and windings remain exposed and rely on the host machine’s enclosure for protection. Its protection rating is IP00, so the stator has no inherent barrier against dust, contact, or fluid intrusion. Electrical power is supplied through a pre-terminated connection cable, allowing direct integration with the drive amplifier while reducing the amount of field wiring required inside the machine.
Liquid cooling keeps the coil temperature within operating limits; a flow rate of 2.0 L/min produces a pressure drop of 1.6 bar across the internal channel, while the cooling circuit can withstand pressure up to 6 bar without damage. The stator has six fixing holes that accept M6 x 12 mm screws, allowing it to be clamped securely against a rigid, thermally conductive back plate. A separate ground point on the stator yoke uses an M6 x 12 mm threaded connection for the ground lug, providing a secure grounding path when tightened correctly. The host assembly must maintain the required coolant flow and provide enough mounting rigidity to prevent movement under the axial and radial magnetic forces.
