Product Description:
The MSS102B-1600-FA-N0CN-NNNN stator is produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the MSS Synchronous IndraDyn H Motors series. Intended for kit-style spindle assemblies, it serves as the stationary winding set that generates the rotating magnetic field required to drive a high-speed rotor in CNC machining centers and grinding units. Integrating the stator into the spindle allows the automation system to deliver precise, sensor-controlled torque directly at the cutting interface without a separate motor housing or external transmission.
Thermal management is handled by liquid cooling that circulates through a stator-cooling jacket, and both coolant ports are located on the axial face to simplify hose routing. The inlet has a G 1/8 threaded connection, while the outlet has an M16 × 1 threaded connection for connection to compatible manifold fittings. Electrical power reaches the windings through a 1.5 m power cable terminated in flying leads. The cable exits axially, keeping the wiring within the spindle housing and reducing the radial installation space required around the stator. The stator has a frame size of 102 and follows the corresponding IndraDyn H external diameter group. Its enclosure has an IP00 protection rating, so the surrounding machine structure must prevent contact with live components and protect the assembly from dust, coolant, and moisture.
The windings use Class F insulation, which permits winding temperatures up to 155 °C during operation. The permitted ambient temperature range is 0 to +40 °C, allowing the cooling circuit to remove heat while the spindle operates within normal industrial conditions. The axial depth corresponds to frame length B, providing an extended magnetic stack for increased torque without increasing the stator’s outer diameter. The standard configuration does not include an internal encoder, so an external feedback device can be mounted to provide position and speed signals that match the control system. Axial routing for the electrical connection, coolant lines, and drainage keeps these interfaces away from the stator’s radial mounting surfaces and leaves space for the rotor, bearings, and surrounding spindle components.
