The Bosch Rexroth spindle motor, MSM019A-0300-NN-M5-ML1 is a new line of system-compatible AC servo motors with a low power range of 100 to 750 W. The motors operate well in surrounding temperatures ranging from +0 ... +40 and can be mounted at an altitude of 1000 m. The servo motor uses a SERCOS interface that is suited for application in systems with several axis devices. Fiber optic cables are used to connect the MSM motor with the SERCOS interface to a higher-level control unit. The fiber optic cables (connector or the entire ready-made cables) are ordered separately.

The spindle motor is used in handling and mounting systems, packaging and foodstuff machines, printing and paper processing machines, and machine tools. Individual components used with the servo motor include a battery for the absolute encoder, devices, and master communication cards. These components do not come with the motor and are ordered separately. The motor is designed for a three three-phase 3 x 240 V mains connection and a Single-phase connection at 1 x 240 V. Electrical connections exceeding 240V should be connected via a transformer. The supply feeders of the MSM motor have to be fused using the circuit breakers. The maximum possible wire cross-section at the terminal connector is 2.0 mm.

The MSM019A-0300-NN-M5-ML1 cannot be used with an earth leakage circuit breaker. Protection from indirect contact is shielded by the grounded protective housing of the components of the motor system. RC modules and varistors should not be used as protective circuits as they increase locking currents that may lead to failures of connected components and units. If higher over voltages occur, then they must be limited with the use of overvoltage suppressors in the cabinet or building.
