Product Description

One of the most sought-after series of servo motors designed and manufactured by Bosch Rexroth is the MSK series. The series is one of the many in the IndraDyn S family and makes up the highly efficient Rexroth IndraDrive drive system. The MSK motors are used in robotics, printing and paper processing machines, handling systems, and metal-forming machines.

The MSK101E-0300-FN-S2-BP0-RNNN is a model of the MSK servo motors in the IndraDyn S family by Bosch Rexroth. Its features include a compact size, high torque density, and a high degree of precision. This high degree of precision is due to the integration of optical systems in the motor’s encoder for the determination of its position and the control of its speed. The encoder in this model is the single-turn encoder with EnDat 2.1 interface and 2,048 signal periods. Its positioning acquisition mode is absolute, and it has a system accuracy of ±20 angular seconds. This motor’s electrical connections are done through plug-in connectors on its B-side.

The irreversible damage of the MSK101E-0300-FN-S2-BP0-RNNN by thermal overload is prevented by two temperature monitoring systems integrated into it. The temperature sensor is the KTY84 type, and it is built into its stator. The protection category of the motor is IP 65 according to IEC 60529, indicating that it is touchproof, dustproof, and cannot be damaged by the entry of sprays from water jets. It is cooled by an inbuilt liquid cooling system where heat is transferred to the ambient air via a coolant and a downstream heat exchanger. The inlet temperature of this coolant is between 10oC and 40oC, while the maximum recommended ambient temperature for its operation is 40oC.
