The Bosch MSK101D-0300-NN-M2-AP0-RNNN is an industrial servo motor. It is always deployed as part of a servo system that also includes a drive controller. Servo systems with MSK motors are designed for commercial and industrial applications such as robotics, metal forming machines, printing machines and food processing machines. The motor housing features increased concentricity and run out. The motor housing complies with DIN 42955. Optional holding brakes are available for MSK motors. However the MSK101D-0300-NN-M2-AP0-RNNN is not equipped with a holding brake. Two types of shafts are available for MSK motors: a plain shaft and shaft with keyway. Both types of shafts include a sealing ring. The MSK101D-0300-NN-M2-AP0-RNNN is equipped with a shaft that includes a keyway. Bosch provides four options for location of the electrical power connection. The option needs to be selected at the time of motor ordering.

The power connector on the MSK101D-0300-NN-M2-AP0-RNNN motor is on side A of the housing. Six different encoders are available for MSK motors. Three of these are singleturn encoders that provide feedback within a single shaft revolution, and three are multiturn encoders that provide feedback in multiple shaft revolutions. The MSK101D-0300-NN-M2-AP0-RNNN comes with an optical multiturn absolute encoder. The encoder supports EnDat 2.1 and is rated for 2048 signal periods. The MSK101D-0300-NN-M2-AP0-RNNN can be cooled via natural convection or surface cooling. Compared to natural convection, the motor delivers higher output torque with surface cooling. Its housing is sealed and belongs to IP65 protection category. The length of the motor housing is 420 millimeters. The size of the flange on the MSK101D-0300-NN-M2-AP0-RNNN motor is 165 millimeters. The diameter of the shaft on the motor is 38 millimeters.
