Product Description

All servo motors by Bosch Rexroth are characterized by a compact build and high-precision encoder systems. The synchronous motors are used as rotary main and servo drive motors but are suitable for several other applications, thanks to their flexibility. Typically, they are used in food processing and packaging machines, machine tools, robotics, and metal-forming machines.

The MSK101D-0200-NN-S2-AP2-RNNN is a model of the MSK synchronous servo motors designed and manufactured by Bosch Rexroth. It is a self-cooling motor where heat elimination is via natural convection. This cooling process involves the transfer of the heat generated by the motor to the ambient air or the machine construction. Two temperature monitoring systems prevent irreversible damage due to heat damage in this model. One of these is the KTY84 thermal sensor in the motor stator, and it works by triggering various protective mechanisms at specified threshold temperatures. The other is an independent system called the temperature model. This MSK model can achieve a maximum speed of 3,400 revolutions per minute and generates a maximum torque of 160.0Nm.

A single-turn encoder with the EnDat 2.1 interface detects the absolute, indirect position of the MSK101D-0200-NN-S2-AP2-RNNN within one mechanical rotation. It uses the optical measurement method and has a system accuracy of ±20 angular seconds. The motor’s output shaft is the type with a keyway per DIN 6885 and a shaft sealing ring. This shaft sealing ring is designed according to DIN 3760 – design A and prevents fluids from entering the motor through the shaft. There is also an electrically-released holding brake in the servo motor to hold the axes at a standstill when it is disconnected from power.
