Product Description

Combined with IndraDrive control units, the MSK servo motors give high-performance drive systems. They are compact motors with high torque density and precise encoder systems. Their typical applications include metal forming machines, robotics, food packaging machines, and machine tools.

The MSK101C-0300-FN-S2-AG0-RNNN is a model of Bosch Rexroth’s MSK servo motors featuring a plain shaft with a shaft sealing ring. It provides a non-positive shaft-hub connection with zero backlash and quiet running. Its shaft sealing ring corresponds with the standard of DIN 3760 – design A and prevents liquids from penetrating the motor through the shaft. This MSK model is cooled via a liquid cooling system where a coolant absorbs the heat generated during the motor’s operation. The coolant is released via a downstream heat exchanger to the ambient air. It allows the motor to be used for extreme loads like continuous start-stop operations with high repetition rates. The motor has bearings with a nominal service life of 30,000 operating hours.

Two protective features of the MSK101C-0300-FN-S2-AG0-RNNN are its sealed housing and temperature monitoring systems. The sealed housing is impervious to solid extrinsic materials and water jet sprays; hence, it has an Ingress Protection rating of IP 65 per EN 60529. It is coated with a varnish that consists of a black (RAL9005) 2K epoxy coating based on epoxy polyamide resin in water. This coat is resistant to current mineral oils, dilute acid and alkaline solutions, sewage, and seawater. The MSK model has two temperature monitoring systems: the KTY84 thermal sensor and the temperature model, which work to prevent irreversible damage due to thermal overload. Ideally, the ambient temperature at its site of operation should not exceed 40oC.
