The Bosch MSK100D-0200-NN-S2-AP0-RNNN is an industrial servo motor. It is equipped with a digital singleturn encoder that provides accurate feedback. Feedback refers to motor speed and position measurements that the motor sends to a drive controller. The function of the controller is to control motor speed and position. In response to feedback received from the motor, the controller modulates its output to ensure that motor speed and position match values programmed by an operator. The MSK100D-0200-NN-S2-AP0-RNNN motor belongs to the MSK product line. Applications for MSK motors include printing machines, robotics, machine tools and metal-forming machines. Bosch recommends professional installation for MSK motors, as it will help to minimize installation errors and prolong operating life of the motor. Bosch does not permit any modification to motor hardware or software.

Bosch also does not allow use of MSK motors for applications not specified in the product documentation. The MSK100D-0200-NN-S2-AP0-RNNN is a motor with a housing that features increased concentricity and run out. The motor housing is compliant with DIN 42955, The motor supports two cooling methods: surface cooling and convection cooling. Both of these methods rely on flow of air over the motor housing. Convection cooling relies on flow of ambient air over the motor: it is suited to applications that put a lower load on the servo motor. Surface cooling relies on flow of forced air over the motor and is suited to application that put a higher load on the motor.  Bosch recommends 0 to 40 degrees Celsius ambient temperature for MSK motors. The MSK100D-0200-NN-S2-AP0-RNNN motor has a shaft with a keyway. The main power socket is on side A of the housing. Ingress protection rating of the motor is IP65.
