Product Description

The Bosch MSK100C-0300-NN-M2-LG2-RNNN is a servo motor. It is called a servo motor because it supports feedback. The feedback comprises of speed, torque and position measurements. An encoder takes these measurements and sends them to the drive controller. The MSK100C-0300-NN-M2-LG2-RNNN is also a synchronous motor. It is called a synchronous motor because its speed is harmonious with the input current frequency. The controller supplies motor current and also controls motor parameter including speed and torque. The MSK100C-0300-NN-M2-LG2-RNNN features a smooth shaft with a seal. The seal protects motor bearings. The seal wears during continuous motor operation. Operators should inspect the seal and replace it when required. MSK motors support optional holding brakes. The brakes operate according to the electrical release principle. The brake releases the motor shaft after application of a 24 Volts DC signal.

Holding torque of the optional holding brake on the MSK100C-0300-NN-M2-LG2-RNNN motor is 70 Nm. The motor features an optical multiurn encoder. This encoder includes an EnDat 2.1 interface. The encoder is rated for 2048 signal periods. Customers can specify four positions for the electrical connection: on the left, on the right, side A and side B of the motor. The electrical power socket on the MSK100C-0300-NN-M2-LG2-RNNN motor is located on the left side of the housing. The motor supports two cooling methods that are natural convection and surface cooling. Natural convection is more suited to applications with lower load requirements.
