The Bosch Rexroth MSK100B-0450-NN-M2-BP0-RNNN is an industrial synchronous servo motor. It is a synchronous motor because its speed and the input current frequency are synchronized. It is a servo motor because it supports feedback and, along with a controller, forms part of a closed-loop control system. An optical multiturn encoder installed on the MSK100B-0450-NN-M2-BP0-RNNN measures speed and other parameters such as torque. The motor transmits these measurements, known as feedback, to the controller. The controller adjusts its output based on feedback from the motor. The encoder on the MSK100B-0450-NN-M2-BP0-RNNN motor has an EnDat 2.1 interface and supports 2048 signal periods. The controller supplies motor power through a power cable. This power cable connects to a power socket on the motor. Operators need to specify the location on the power socket at the time of ordering.
