Rexroth IndraDyn S MSK servo motors are characterized by high dynamics, a compact construction, a high torque density, and an extremely high precision due to their new optical encoder systems. They have a power connector (which includes a connection for the temperature sensor) and an encoder connection. These motors are designed to be used as rotary main and servo drive motors. They are typically used in machine tools, printing and paper processing machines, packaging and food processing machines, metal forming machines, and robotics.

The MSK070C-0450-NN-M3-UP0-NNNN has an integrated encoder unit to control the motor speed and monitor its position. It has 6 pole pairs and a maximum speed of 6000 RPM. It has a bearing lifetime of 30,000 operating hours when operated within the limits of the axial and radial loads. Its electrical connection is via a 240° rotatable plug, and it is equipped with a shaft with keyway and radial shaft sealing ring per DIN 6885-1. The radial shaft sealing rings are friction seals; hence the shaft seal is greased for its lifetime.

It has a protection rating of IP 65 according to the IEC 60529, which means it is protected against penetration of dust and has complete shock protection. It is also protected against water jets directed against the housing from all directions. The housing varnish consists of a black RAL 9005 2K epoxy resin coating based on epoxy polyamide resin in water. It provides chemical resistance against diluted acids/alkaline solutions, seawater, sewage, and current mineral oils. It also provides some resistance against organic solvents and hydraulic oils.
