Product Description

The MSK040C-0450-NN-S2-UG0-NNNN model is a synchronous motor equipped with a singleturn EnDat 2.1 optical encoder for absolute position detection. The encoder operates with the accuracy of ±20 angular seconds and it also assists in controlling the speed of the synchronous motor.  The MSK040 synchronous motor is not equipped with any holding brake to hold the servo axis at standstill. The motor is completely protected against over-voltage, over-temperature, dust particles, and low-pressure water jets owing to its IP65 protection category and the insulation class of 155. The MSK040 synchronous motor comes with a plain rotor (with shaft sealing ring) to deliver the maximum torque of 8.1 Nm while consuming the peak current of 9.6 A at the maximum speed of 6000 rpm. The motor comes with a natural cooling mode in which the motor uses ambient air to maintain its housing temperature. The synchronous motor is designed with a 240-degree rotatable power connector to make an electrical connection directly from the AC power source. The motor must be operated together with the drive controller specified for the IndraDyn S series.
