Product Description:
The MRT161G-3N-0080-NNNN is a dedicated rotor supplied by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the MRT Synchronous IndraDyn T Motors series. As the magnetic core of a torque motor, the rotor is bonded to a shaft or machine element and interacts with the stator windings to produce direct rotary motion. This gearless architecture is suitable for automation equipment that requires high torque density, smooth speed regulation, and precise positioning without mechanical backlash. Direct coupling also removes transmission components that could introduce compliance or reduce motion accuracy.
The rotor has a frame size of 161, providing reference dimensions for housing and bearing selection. Within that frame, the rotor carries a cylindrical laminated package with an internal diameter of 80 mm, allowing a coolant conduit or service shaft to pass through the center without interference. Dynamic performance is influenced by a mass moment of inertia of 0.0027 kg·m², which balances responsive acceleration with stable load control. The rotor is secured to the machine hub with screws, providing consistent clamping without requiring a shrink fit. When liquid cooling is used, the stator-side circuit can accept an inlet pressure of up to 6 bar. Adequate wall thickness around the internal opening supports installation beside the pressurized cooling circuit.
During operation, the rotor must remain within an ambient temperature range of 0 to +40 °C, which is suitable for typical factory conditions. Cooling fluid may enter the associated circuit at a temperature between +5 and +40 °C, allowing heat removal while reducing the risk of condensation on metallic surfaces. During storage, the component tolerates temperatures from -25 to +55 °C. Separate transportation conditions permit temperatures from -25 to +70 °C without damaging the component. The assembly has an IP00 degree of protection, so the surrounding machine enclosure must provide protection against contact, dust, and other contaminants. Its uncoated surfaces use the standard finish and can receive an application-specific corrosion coating when necessary.
