Product Description:
The MRT161C-3N-0080-NNNN is a dedicated rotor produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the MRT Synchronous IndraDyn T Motors series. It is the rotating element of a torque motor from the MBT platform. In a direct-drive assembly, the rotor helps generate high continuous torque without gear reduction for indexing tables, rotary axes, and other industrial automation equipment.
The rotor has an internal bore of 80 mm, allowing it to fit large-diameter machine shafts while maintaining the required air gap. Its mechanical frame size is 161, providing compatibility with a stator of the corresponding size. A mass moment of inertia of 0.0075 kg·m² supports rapid acceleration while maintaining position stability during indexing movements. The rotor has an IP00 protection rating, which means it is supplied without an enclosure and relies on the host machine for protection against contact and ingress. It is secured to the hub with screws, providing positive axial clamping and allowing removal when access is required. The standard version follows the baseline configuration for this rotor model.
Cooling conditions for the paired stator affect the permitted operating range of the complete motor assembly. The coolant inlet temperature must remain between +5 and +40 °C, and circuit pressure must not exceed 6 bar. During operation, the assembly is intended for ambient temperatures from 0 to +40 °C; temperatures outside this range may affect magnetic performance and mechanical clearances. The rotor can be stored between -25 and +55 °C and transported for short periods between -25 and +70 °C without degradation, provided condensation is prevented. These storage and transportation limits help protect the magnetic material and machined surfaces before the rotor is installed. Proper temperature control also reduces the risk of dimensional changes that could interfere with alignment, mounting, or the air gap between the rotor and stator.
