Internal Product Review
The MRT160E-3N-0080-NNNN is an open kit synchronous motor from Bosch Rexroth Indramat with IP00 protection. Screw fastening and a 12-hole mounting pattern support secure, repeatable integration in precision motion assemblies. A 3500 min^-1 maximum mechanical speed makes the unit especially appealing for high-response rotary applications.

Product Description:
The MRT160E-3N-0080-NNNN is a frameless torque motor rotor-stator set produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the MRT Synchronous IndraDyn T Motors series. Designed for direct integration into indexing tables, printing cylinders, or similar precision axes, it delivers high continuous torque without mechanical transmission elements. By eliminating belts or gearboxes, the kit supports compact layouts and accurate positioning in industrial automation.
The stator flange is rated IP00, which means the windings are exposed and must be enclosed by the machine builder. The unit uses screw fastening for attachment to the machine plate, and each mounting point is threaded for M6 / 12 mm deep. There are 12 radial mounting holes, which helps distribute clamping force evenly around the circumference. An inner rotor bore of 80 mm leaves clearance for feed-through shafts, media lines, or encoder rings, allowing the central opening to remain available for auxiliary components.
The laminated core permits a maximum mechanical speed of 3500 min⁻¹, so the drive must limit overspeed during rapid indexing. During acceleration, the rotor has an inertia of 0.01580 kg·m², which supports smooth motion and controlled settling in medium-diameter tables. The rotor assembly weighs 6.2 kg, which is useful when calculating the load on the host bearing arrangement. Thermal endurance is rated to class 155, so the winding insulation can operate at elevated temperatures when adequate cooling is provided. Because the motor has an open design, the surrounding machine structure must provide the housing, bearing seats, and airflow needed to remove heat during sustained torque operation.
