Product Description:
The MRS272B-2N-0125-NNNN rotor is produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the MRS Synchronous IndraDyn H Motors series. As the rotating element of a synchronous spindle motor, it couples with a stator to deliver high-speed cutting and positioning in machine tools and automated cells. The unit uses the IndraDyn H electromagnetic topology, providing the low inertia and accurate torque delivery needed for closed-loop CNC drives. In spindle assemblies, the rotor provides the magnetic circuit that interacts with the stator windings, enabling precise electronic commutation instead of relying on belt or gear transmissions.
The frame size of 272 mm establishes the outer diameter envelope, and an iron length of 250 mm sets the active magnetic stack that influences torque. A 125 mm through-bore allows the spindle shaft to pass through the rotor, and its machined surfaces support the intended mounting arrangement. Stability is provided by a step interference fit, while the assembled rotor has a length of 294 mm. Frame length code B identifies the second axial option in the series. The rotor bore geometry follows the requirements of the step interference fit to control radial runout during high-speed operation.
The rotor is suitable for ambient temperatures from 0–40 °C, so the surrounding air must remain within this range during extended spindle operation. Windings paired with this rotor use insulation category F, which permits internal temperatures up to 155 °C before insulation degradation begins. Because the rotor does not have its own enclosure, the assembly has an IP00 protection rating and must be installed inside a sealed motor housing. This housing prevents conductive dust, coolant, and other contaminants from reaching exposed motor components. The rotor uses the Standard design, with material selection, balance quality, and surface finish suited to the baseline requirements of the IndraDyn H series.
