Product Description:
The MRS242F-2N-0100-NNNN is a rotor built by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the MRS Synchronous IndraDyn H Motors series. As the rotating core of a synchronous spindle motor, it converts the electromagnetic interaction with the stator into mechanical motion for precision machining and other automation tasks. The unit uses a standard design suited to general-purpose drive applications.
During continuous operation, the matched motor assembly is rated to deliver 26.7 kW of power at a shaft speed of 600 rpm, corresponding to 425 Nm of steady torque. At this operating point, the stator draws 68 A, while short-duration load peaks can draw up to 180 A. The electromagnetic characteristics include a torque constant of 6.25 Nm/A and a voltage constant of 570 V/1000 rpm, allowing the drive controller to calculate torque and back electromotive force across the five pole pairs. Phase copper losses are limited by a winding resistance of 0.41 Ω. Dynamic flux linkage is governed by a longitudinal inductance of 3 mH and a crosswise inductance of 13.3 mH. These electrical parameters apply within an ambient temperature range of 0 to 40 °C with the F-class insulation system and a thermal time constant of 7.3 minutes.
Mechanical integration uses a stepped interference fit, and the rotor bore is machined for this coupling method. The mounting arrangement matches the mating surface of the stator. The assembly can withstand momentary overloads of up to 970 Nm before magnetic saturation occurs. The steel body weighs 36.5 kg and has a moment of inertia of 0.207 kg·m², providing substantial energy storage while permitting responsive speed changes. The rotor has a frame size of 242, a frame length code of F, a total length of 395 mm, and an internal diameter of 100 mm that provides clearance for coolant pipes or clamping shafts. Its IP00 protection rating indicates that it is supplied without an enclosure, so the surrounding motor housing must provide protection from contact and contaminants.
