Product Description:
The MRS202D-2N-0085-NNNN is a synchronous permanent-magnet motor built by Bosch Rexroth Indramat and supplied within the MRS Synchronous IndraDyn H Motors series. As a direct-drive component, it converts electrical power from an IndraDrive inverter into rotary motion for positioning and interpolation axes in industrial automation. The compact housing and integrated shaft seal allow installation in machine tools, packaging systems, and material-handling stations where high dynamics and mechanically coupled feedback support precise speed and torque regulation. Its direct-drive layout reduces compliance in the drivetrain, which helps the axis respond cleanly to changing commands and maintain smooth motion during contouring. Because the feedback is mechanically coupled to the motor, the drive can track shaft motion directly instead of compensating for backlash from intermediate transmission elements.
At a maximum speed of 9300 rpm, the rotor can follow rapid command changes across demanding motion profiles. The frame’s outer diameter of 145.5 mm fits standard IEC adapters while keeping flux density high in the stator. An overall length of 287 mm provides a laminated core long enough to support continuous torque during extended duty cycles. The electromagnetic circuit uses 5 pole pairs, which supports smooth commutation and low torque ripple across the speed range. A rotor inertia of 0.084 kg·m² helps balance fast acceleration with stable load response on interpolation and positioning axes.
The shaft front is drilled with 24 x M6 x 10 mm Deep balancing threads, so correction screws can be added after assembly to reduce residual vibration. A sealing element sized 85x4 75FKM sits in the housing groove to help block cutting fluid or coolant from entering the bearing chamber during wet machining. For closed-loop lubrication, the end cap includes 2 x M6 x 12 mm Deep pressure oil ports that allow flushing oil to pass through the bearings and exit through the drain path. A rotor mass of 23.0 kg adds thermal capacity, which helps the motor absorb short load peaks without a sharp temperature rise. This arrangement is useful on axes that demand repeatable motion at low speed and during rapid reversals.
