Product Description:
The MRS182D-1N-0085-NNNN is an open-frame rotor-stator assembly produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the MRS Synchronous IndraDyn H Motors series. This kit motor is intended for direct integration into machine housings or spindles, where its windings and permanent-magnet rotor supply torque without external coupling devices. That arrangement helps reduce package size and supports precise rotary motion in industrial automation tasks. Because the stator and rotor are supplied as a kit, the assembly is suited to applications where the motor becomes part of the host structure. Twelve M6 balancing holes on the rotor rim permit trim balancing after assembly to help control vibration during high-speed operation.
With an open kit motor design and an IP00 degree of protection, the unit is delivered without its own enclosure, so the surrounding machine must provide cooling airflow and shielding against contamination. The active magnetic core has an iron length of 225 mm, providing an axial stack that supports higher torque density across the motor body. Inside the stator bore, the rotor seats on a shaft with an internal diameter of 85 mm, allowing passage for mechanical or pneumatic services through the spindle. The motor can reach a top speed of 12,000 rpm, which suits high-speed machining, test stands, and other applications that need rapid rotation.
The outer lamination stack measures 126 mm in diameter and the total assembled length is 263 mm, so radial and axial clearances can be checked against adjoining bearings, encoder disks, and nearby housing features. The electromagnetic layout uses 4 pole pairs, which affects the electrical frequency required from the drive and also influences cogging behavior. A rotor inertia of 0.039 kg·m² provides moderate resistance to acceleration, balancing dynamic speed changes with load stability for milling heads, positioning tables, and similar rotating assemblies where smooth running is also important.
