Product Description:
The MOT-FC-NV3-FCB-324T-4-6CL-40-C3L-WEG is a three-phase, low-voltage induction motor produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the MOT Low Voltage Induction Motors series. Designed for constant-torque process machinery, the unit converts electrical power into rotational motion for pumps, conveyors, and similar equipment in automated plants. Its squirrel-cage rotor allows the motor to operate with variable-frequency drives and deliver the mechanical power needed to keep material flow synchronized with controller commands. This design also supports dependable operation across the changing speed ranges commonly required by automated processing equipment.
The motor is engineered for VFD operation, meaning its insulation system and rotor design tolerate the rapid voltage switching produced by modern inverter outputs. Compliance with the NEMA Premium efficiency tier lowers heat generation and reduces energy use during continuous operation. A dual-rated supply of 208–230/460 V allows connection to common low-voltage industrial networks without rewinding. The mounting footprint conforms to the 324T frame size, so the shaft height and bolt pattern align with standard NEMA couplings and bases. The enclosure has an IP55 protection rating, preventing harmful dust accumulation and guarding internal windings against water jets during washdown procedures. A left-side terminal box supports accessible cable routing when the motor is installed in an existing machine layout. Its NEMA mechanical dimensions also support installation at sites located up to 1,000 meters above sea level.
The motor provides a continuous output of 40 HP, while its four-pole stator produces a synchronous speed of 1800 rpm with a 60 Hz supply. The stator core is enclosed in gray cast iron, which improves vibration damping and withstands thermal changes in outdoor installations. Thermal protection is provided by a PTC sensor embedded in the windings. The sensor signals the connected drive to shut down the motor before winding temperatures reach the insulation limit. This protection helps prevent thermal damage during overloads, restricted cooling conditions, or extended operation near the motor’s rated output.
