Product Description:
The MOT-FC-NT3-NCB-215T-4-6CL-10-C3L-WEG is a three-phase squirrel-cage induction motor manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the MOT Low Voltage Induction Motors series. It converts a low-voltage electrical supply into rotational power for conveyors, pumps, and similar automated loads on factory floors. A gray cast-iron frame resists vibration, and the design follows NEMA MG-1 dimensional rules for straightforward interchange with existing 215-frame equipment. The motor can be mounted vertically or horizontally, allowing the shaft to be aligned with either overhung or foot-mounted mechanisms.
This model is designed for inverter-duty operation, meaning the windings and insulation tolerate rapid voltage changes produced by modern variable-frequency drives. Under rated conditions, it delivers 10 hp to the load, and its four-pole rotor produces a synchronous speed close to 1,800 rpm when the drive outputs 60 Hz. The enclosure meets IP55, keeping dust and low-pressure water jets away from internal components in washdown or debris-laden areas. Thermal monitoring is handled by a built-in PTC sensor that changes resistance sharply when the winding temperature reaches a preset threshold, giving the drive a reliable shutdown signal. The terminal box is located on the left side of the frame for consistent conduit routing in multi-motor panels.
Physical dimensions correspond to frame size 215T, so the shaft height, bolt spacing, and foot geometry match common U.S. mounting plates. The motor operates continuously in ambient temperatures up to +40 °C and can start reliably at temperatures as low as -20 °C, covering most indoor industrial climates without auxiliary heaters. Operation is permitted at installation altitudes as high as 1000 m above sea level without torque derating or ventilation changes, maintaining consistent output on mezzanines or elevated production lines.
