Product Description:
The MOT-FC-NT3-FCB-324T-4-6CL-40-C3L-WEG is a three-phase induction motor built by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the MOT Low Voltage Induction Motors series. It is intended for pump, fan, and conveyor drives in general industrial automation. The unit converts electrical energy into mechanical rotation to operate connected equipment under continuous-duty conditions.
It delivers a continuous mechanical output of 40 hp, enabling midrange equipment to maintain throughput without oversizing the drive train. The stator is wound for a 60 Hz supply, so standard North American mains can be connected without frequency conversion. A 4-pole magnetic layout establishes a synchronous speed near 1,800 rpm, balancing torque production and vibration. The winding design meets the NEMA Premium efficiency grade, reducing heat rise and energy consumption under full load. The IP55 enclosure limits the entry of dust and water jets during washdown or outdoor installation. Three embedded PTC sensors provide real-time thermal protection, and the motor supports either vertical or horizontal mounting to simplify equipment layout. Power leads enter a left-side terminal box. The foot-mounted C-flange base provides a compatible mounting arrangement for NEMA gear reducers.
Heat generated by the stator is carried away through the IC411 (TEFC) cooling system. An external fan forces air over the totally enclosed frame so airborne contaminants do not reach the windings. The 324T frame complies with NEMA dimensional tables, providing a standardized shaft height and bolt pattern for installation with compatible equipment. A rugged cast-iron housing absorbs mechanical shock and dampens noise when the motor is directly coupled to heavy loads. The motor supports operation at sites up to 1000 m above sea level while maintaining its rated temperature rise and torque under the stated operating conditions.
