The segment has a Completely Encapsulated design that helps seal internal components against coolants and airborne particles. Together with the IP65 ingress rating, the assembly withstands low-pressure water jets, so it can be installed close to cutting fluids or spray zones. A base plate made of steel provides a stable magnetic return path and stiff support for the stator teeth.
